Ago is built around one idea: the things you're tracking are yours, and mostly nobody else's business. This policy describes exactly what the app does with information, in plain language, because that's the only kind of privacy policy worth reading.

The short version

Ago keeps your counters on your device. There are no accounts and no sign-in, and we can't see what you track — the names, notes, and dates never leave your phone. The app does report anonymous usage statistics (which screens are opened, which counter types are made, whether a purchase completed) so we know what to improve. You can turn that off in Settings at any time.

What the app stores

Counter names, categories, colours, any emoji or photo you attach, and the dates and times you log. All of it is written to a private database inside the app's own storage on your device — not to any server we operate.

Photos

If you choose a background photo for a counter, a copy of that image is stored inside the app, on your device. Ago requests access to your photo library only at the moment you pick a photo, and reads nothing else from your library.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, reminders are scheduled and delivered by iOS, on your device. No notification content is sent through a server — Ago doesn't have one to send it through.

Widgets and Live Activities

Home Screen widgets and Lock Screen Live Activities read the same on-device data so they can display your counters. That data stays on the device and is shared only between Ago and its own widget extension — never off the phone.

Analytics and crash reporting

Ago uses Google Firebase to collect anonymous product analytics and crash reports: which screens are opened, which counter types get created, whether a purchase completed, and diagnostic information if the app crashes. This data is not linked to your name, your counters, or anything you actually track, and it is never used to build an advertising profile or to track you across other apps or websites.

You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings → Share usage data. Crash reporting exists to help us fix bugs and cannot be disabled separately, but it carries no personal or tracked content.

What we never do

We do not build advertising profiles, use advertising SDKs, or sell or share your data with third parties for their own purposes. There are no accounts, so there is no personal profile to begin with.

Purchases

If Ago Plus is purchased, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment or card details — only Apple's confirmation that a valid purchase was made, which is how the app unlocks the feature.
